MHB WEEKLY: By the students, for the world

MHB Students

As a group, we students in the Master’s in Human Behavior hold a cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.5, come from three continents and speak six languages. Our diversity of interests, experiences and ideas, as explored below, generates classroom discussion bounding with viewpoints and insights. Here are the current students:

Kristin Caiella, originally from New York State, graduated in 2002 from the State University of New York College at Brockport where she dual majored in Psychology and Health Science with a concentration in Business Administration. After working as an administrative professional in higher education, she decided to pursue a Master’s degree that focuses on her undergraduate roots. The instruction in the integration of psychology and business offered by the MHB program perfectly fills this need. Upon graduation, she plans to work as a market researcher for a prominent firm.

Jannika Kampschuur received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and International Development Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Her work experience includes 2.5 years as Client Relationship Manager at a human capital consulting firm and over one year as a Strategic Account Manager for an international engineering company. Jannika is currently a graduate student at USC and plans to complete her Master’s of Science degree in Human Behavior in mid-2011. She is especially interested in the consumer decision making process and hopes to pursue a career in advertising or market research.

Arvo Lee pursued his lifelong interest in human interactions at the University of Southern California, where he received his BA in psychology. He now studies in USC’s Masters in Human Behavior program, focusing on applied consumer behavior and social media trends. At 21, Arvo has been sprinting towards his career goals and is capitalizing on the MHB’s accelerated, one-year program. He is gaining real-world experience as a Corporate Development Intern with Internet Brands, and hopes to soon launch a career in online marketing & advertising.

Jingy Shen graduated in May 2010 from Washington University in St. Louis with a Psychology major and a Organizational Behavior minor. She is currently interning as an HR Recruiter at Internet Brands. In the future, she would like to be working in Human Resources, particularly in recruiting. She hopes that the MHB program will help her learn how to practically apply social psychology concepts to future work.

Jonathan Wroble graduated in May 2010 from the University of Pennsylvania, where he studied Communications and French. His interest in cross-cultural marketing, which he explores through an international publicity internship at a Hollywood-based film company, lead him to the MHB program.

After working as a business assistant for a clothing company, Pei-Jung Wu attended college in Taipei, Taiwan and majored in Social Psychology. Currently, she is studying in the MHB program and interested in marketing, market research and consumer psychology. After graduating, she plans to work in the marketing field or the clothing industry with a focus on consumer analyzing.
